                                         TYPES OF MAPS  1. POLITICAL MAPS : Maps that shows political boundaries of a country, state, village etc. 2. PHYSICAL MAPS : Maps that shows physical features of a place such as mountains, plateaus, rivers etc. 3. THEMATIC MAPS : Maps that gives us particular information such as population, rainfall, temperature etc. an activity was conducted in class 6, wherein students filled maps using different materials such as buttons, glitters, threads, bindis, crayon shavings etc. it was great to see students creativity. this activity helped students to learn about different features, symbols, colour scheme etc used in maps.

Great efforts and creativity showcased by students. This activity will help them to remember the states ruled by the Ages of Three Empires .

 VISIT TO NATIONAL       WAR MEMORIAL Students of class VI, VII, VIII went to India's First War Memorial. This memorial is best place to sensitize students about the sacrifice that our soldier made for us. we are thankful to our soldiers because of them we are safe and independent citizens. it is our responsibility to keep our country free from evil practices. students took autographs of the soldiers, as they are our real super heroes and true celebrity.  In social sciences, students read by India's struggle for freedom and relations with other countries. This war memorial establishes a link between their theoretical knowledge and actual scenario. Students learnt about different wars India had fought. This war memorial is built in India Gate's premises, students got an opportunity to see other significant monuments such as, High Court, President's house, India Gate, and many other government offices.                                       NUMISMATIC Study of coins, tokens or paper money is called numismatic . Coins help the historians to date back the time when it was used. Coins contains inscriptions of god's, title of kings  etc.  It gives valuable information  about the culture of that time.  Coins also throw light on which countries were their trading  partners.  It developed curiosity among students to know more about the history. It proved to be an interesting activity for introducing History as a subject.
