                                         TYPES OF MAPS 

1. POLITICAL MAPS : Maps that shows political boundaries of a country, state, village etc.
2. PHYSICAL MAPS : Maps that shows physical features of a place such as mountains, plateaus, rivers etc.
3. THEMATIC MAPS: Maps that gives us particular information such as population, rainfall, temperature etc.

an activity was conducted in class 6, wherein students filled maps using different materials such as buttons, glitters, threads, bindis, crayon shavings etc. it was great to see students creativity. this activity helped students to learn about different features, symbols, colour scheme etc used in maps.
