Study of coins, tokens or paper money is called numismatic.
- Coins help the historians to date back the time when it was used.
- Coins contains inscriptions of god's, title of kings etc.
- It gives valuable information about the culture of that time.
- Coins also throw light on which countries were their trading partners.
- It developed curiosity among students to know more about the history.
- It proved to be an interesting activity for introducing History as a subject.
