Japan Month

DAV pushpanjali celebrated Japan Month on 13.11.24, wherein a delegate from Japanese Embassy Ms. Hakka Matta was invited to our school. This event exhibited Japan- India cultural and technological progress and friendship.

Students of classes 6 7 and 8 presented a Model on SEISMIC RESISTANT TECHNOLOGY.

Seismic resistant technology is crucial for minimizing damage and losses incurred due to earthquakes. This technology reduces the risk of building collapse and prevents falling hazards.

It enhances occupants safety and increases property value.

How it works -

Creating a flexible foundation- one way to register ground forces is to ‘lift’ the building foundation above the earth through a method called base isolation. Bass isolation involves constructing a building on top of flexible Steel rubber and lead pads.

When an earthquake occurs the isolator vibrates while the structure remains steady.

Shock absorber reduces shock waves and helps to reduce pressure on the building. Thus, leading to safety of occupants and less risk of loss and damage.
